Artist and media theorist, based in Copenhagen. Received a doctoral degree in Art and Media Theory from University of Arts in Belgrade.
My theoretical research is focused on the problem of media analysis, visual reception and aesthetics of technology. I have been involved in the several international projects focused on the long-distance learning and media literacy.
Member of the curatorial initiative for the promotion of video art - ArtVideoExchange since 2008. I work as a Senior lecturer at Communications for Development department (ComDev), K3, Malmö University.
Apart from that: I'm a passionate fusion-cuisine-leisure-time-cook, a clumsy bicycle-rider, a big fan of European independent film production and of all Tom Waits' and Tuxedomoon albums.

Presentation at TRANSOR workshop in Aarhus

'The Research Network for Transdisciplinary Studies in Social Robotics (TRANSOR) is a platform for research exchange and joint Humanities research in social robotics, connecting researchers in philosophy, robotics, cognitive science, psychology, anthropology, educational science, linguistics, art and design studies, and communication and media studies'. (http://projects.au.dk/transor/) TRANSOR network has been initiated by prof. Johanna Seibt and a group of reserchers from Aarhus University, coming from the humanities and social sciencies.
TRANSOR workshop, taking place from Janury 28-30, gathered a number of academics and robo-practitioners to share a dialogue about the philosophical aspects of social robotics, with special focus on methodological challenges to both empirical and conceptual investigations.
ROCA group was pleased to give several presentations at this event; as a member of ROCA group, I presented a talk about Art and Robotics, where I discussed why art matters when thinking about these challenges. I gave examples of several artists that collaborate with the industry, resulting in semi-commercial robots whose purpose in essentially non-instrumental (e.g. see Korogo Kurata's robot Kuratas).
